The One Question EHOs Always Ask That Catches Owners Out
It’s no longer enough to have correct temperatures today.
The question that decides 15–20 points on almost every inspection now is: “Show me the last time something went wrong and what you did about it.”
Paper systems fail here because people write “OK” even when it wasn’t. Digital systems shine because every out-of-range reading forces a corrective-action note: “Fridge 2 at 9.1 °C → stock moved → engineer booked”.
Have three or four of those perfectly documented incidents in the last six months and the officer usually nods, smiles, and moves on. No corrective actions at all looks suspicious now.
